1:17PM - Ukrainians maintain their position on the Southern city of Kherson. Russia steps up the bombardments of other major cities after their invasion fails to succeed.
1:09PM - Ukranian officials rectify Russian claims, Kherson is not yet seized. The Ukrainian army is still fighting. In the words of Ukrainian adviser Oleksiy Arestovych:
"The city has not fallen, our side continues to defend"
12:15PM - Reuters informed about the capture of Kherson by Russia’s military forces. The assault began yesterday night with a combay of Russian troops coming in from Crimea. The West is now concerned that Russia is switching their tactics to more violent ones after having failed to overthrow the Ukranian government in the first week of war.
